This year’s forum – using the virtual event platform Hopin – will provide a platform through which thought leaders in humanitarian futures, aid technologists, communications and media development actors and local activists will interrogate ways to ensure the effective, equitable and ethical use of the rapidly expanding technical toolset in humanitarian action.

Over two three-hour sessions – held across Thursday October 7 and Friday October 8 – we will discuss the ways in which digital technologies can compel the inclusion of marginalised voices and enable locally-led drivers of communication, community engagement and accountability and seek to understand how to expand access and use of existing digital and communication technologies, particularly by those groups that lack visibility and voice. Each session as been designed to be interactive: come with questions you’d like to put to our panels of experts.

  • DAY ONE OF THE FORUM will be held from 2pm to 5pm – UK time – on Thursday October 7.
  • DAY TWO OF THE FORUM will be held from 8am to 11am – UK time – on Friday October 8.

More details about the conference schedule, speakers and networking opportunities are being added to the Hopin conference platform all the time, so keep checking for updates. The latest programme is available on the CDAC Network website.

Everyone is welcome, provocative discussion guaranteed, always free of charge.
