This resource was originally published on the CartoBlog in 2020 by CartONG. It was transferred to the IM Resource Portal in May 2021. The CartoBlog will be decommissioned in early 2022.

Worried about language barriers affecting the accuracy of the data you need to design quality programs and respond effectively to people’s needs? Learn how you and your colleagues can reduce language biases and gain more reliable data.

This infographic is a joint collaboration between CartONG and Translators without Borders. Its aim is to list all the language steps that should be considered during a data collection, with specific tips for when such a data collection needs to be remote.
